Moldy horse blankets became a thing of the past – Camilla chose Infracenter for her saddle room

For many horse owners, the tack room is more than just a storage room. Saddles, bridles, blankets and other equipment that often represent great value are stored here. Therefore, moisture quickly becomes a costly problem. It was a challenge that Camilla Larsson in Lödöse recognized. The harsh environment in the tack room meant that horse blankets and other equipment were at risk of damage. Moisture and mold became a recurring concern, and every year new blankets had to be purchased because the old ones could no longer be used. Camilla wanted to find a solution that really worked – not just temporarily, but all year round. After advice from Infracenter, she chose to install a black infrared panel in the tack room.

A drier environment with infrared heating

Unlike traditional heating systems, an infrared panel heats walls, floors, shelves and other furnishings directly with soft infrared waves. When the surfaces are kept warmer, the raw feeling in the room is reduced and the tack room is perceived as significantly drier and more comfortable. For an environment where expensive equipment is stored, this is a big advantage. The result was quickly noticeable. The blankets and equipment stayed drier and the damp feeling that previously characterized the tack room disappeared.

"One of the best investments I've made"

Camilla herself summarizes the result: "Thank you for all your help. Installing a black infrared panel in my tack room was one of the best investments I've made. Now it's dry and nice, no more mold like we had before. We had to buy new horse blankets every year before - we don't need that anymore." That's a judgment that says a lot. When an investment not only improves the environment but also reduces unnecessary costs year after year, it quickly becomes profitable.

Developed for environments where moisture is a challenge

Stables and tack rooms are different from ordinary homes. Temperature changes, high humidity and frequent door openings mean that the environment can easily become harsh during large parts of the year. The infrared panels from Infracenter are developed to function in these environments as well. They operate completely silently, require minimal maintenance and provide even and comfortable heat without fans that stir up dust. This makes them a popular choice on an increasing number of horse farms around the Nordic region.

An investment that protects more than just your equipment

A well-functioning tack room is not just about protecting saddles and horse blankets. It should also be a place where it feels nice to change, prepare the horse and work with the equipment regardless of the season. With the right heating solution, the tack room becomes a significantly more useful part of the farm, while at the same time giving the equipment better conditions to stay in good condition for a long time. These are exactly the types of solutions Infracenter works with.
