Plaza Hotel in Västerås, Sweden, chose <tc><tc><tc>Power</tc></tc></tc> 1600W from Infracenter for their new hot yoga studio

Plaza Hotel in Västerås is the city's tallest building and one of Västerås' most well-known hotels. After an extensive renovation that took almost two years, the hotel wanted to develop its training and relaxation offering with a modern pilates and yoga studio where both regular yoga and hot yoga could be offered. Infracenter was contacted to create the right temperature and even heat throughout the premises. The solution was 12 Power 1600W, mounted in the false ceiling together with controls from Plejd. The result was a modern and easy-to-control hot yoga studio where the temperature can be easily adjusted for each session.

Hot yoga requires proper sizing

Heating a hot yoga studio is about much more than just installing a few heaters. The room must be able to quickly reach the right temperature, while the heat must be evenly distributed over the entire floor area. Too low an output means that the room never reaches the desired temperature, while the correct dimensioning provides a stable and comfortable environment throughout the session. At Infracenter, we usually dimension hot yoga to around 250 W per m². Studio Plaza is approximately 70 m², which gives a power requirement of around 17,500 watts. Therefore, 12 of them were installed Power 1600W, which gives a total installed power of 19,200 watts. The slightly higher power means that the studio quickly reaches the right temperature before the yoga session begins. The heat is then automatically regulated by the control system to maintain an even and comfortable temperature.

App control with Plejd makes everyday life easier

The hotel chose to combine Infracenter's infrared panels with Plejd control. The staff can therefore easily start the heating directly from their mobile phone before the first yoga session of the day and adjust the temperature according to the schedule. When the participants enter the studio, the room is already heated and ready for training. The combination of Infracenter's infrared panels and Plejd's smart control provides a flexible solution that works just as well for a single session as during an intensive training day.

Power 1600W is developed for larger premises
