Questions and answers

Do I need WiFi to use the thermostat?

No. The Salus RT510 communicates with radio waves at 868 MHz and needs neither WiFi nor the Internet to work.

Can I control several infrared panels with the same thermostat?

Yes. If the panels are in the same room, a thermostat is normally sufficient.

Is the thermostat difficult to install?

No. The thermostat is delivered ready-paired with the receiver from the factory, which makes installation quick and easy. The thermostat itself is wireless and ready to start immediately. For connecting the receiver (relay), we recommend basic electrical knowledge or the help of an electrician.

Can I use the thermostat without programming?

Yes. Many customers only use the manual mode, where you choose the desired temperature yourself.

What temperature can I set?

The temperature can be adjusted between 5°C and 35°C.

The thermostat fits all Infracenter's infra panels?

Yes. The Salus RT510 is designed to work together with Infracenter's entire range of infrared heating panels.

Product description

Wireless Thermostat Salus RT510 - Full control over the heat

A good thermostat is the heart of the entire heating system.

It doesn't matter how good the heating panels are if the temperature is not controlled correctly. Therefore, we recommend Salus RT510 for our infrared heating panels. It is a reliable, easy-to-use and proven thermostat that helps you maintain an even and comfortable temperature all year round.

The thermostat communicates wirelessly with radio waves at 868 MHz, which means that the signal easily gets through ordinary wooden and plaster walls. You avoid visible control cables and get a much neater installation.

Then just select the desired temperature and let the thermostat do the rest.

Easy to use – right from the start

The Salus RT510 is delivered ready-paired with the receiver from the factory. This means that the installation is quick and that you avoid complicated programming to get started.

If you just want an even temperature in the room, it's as simple as pressing the up or down arrow until you find the right temperature.

When the desired temperature is reached, the thermostat automatically switches off the heat. When the temperature drops, it starts the infrared panels again.

You get an even and pleasant indoor climate while energy consumption is kept down.

Manual control or programming – you choose

Many customers just want to set the temperature and then let the system take care of itself.

Then you simply activate manual mode by pressing the hand symbol. When the hand appears in the display, you decide the temperature and the thermostat does not follow any pre-programmed schedules.

If you instead want to lower the temperature at night or when you are at work, there are also programmable functions that help you optimize energy consumption.

One thermostat can control several infrared panels

One of the great advantages of the Salus RT510 is that you normally only need one thermostat per room.

If you have several infrared panels installed in the same room, the thermostat detects the temperature in a central location and controls the heat automatically. The result is a more even indoor climate and an easier installation.

That is why our infrared panels are sold both with and without a thermostat. If you already have a thermostat in the room, you normally do not need to buy another one.

Place the thermostat where it measures the temperature best

The temperature sensor is built into the thermostat itself. For best results, the thermostat should be placed in a location that gives a good picture of the room's true temperature.

Many choose to mount it on the wall where it is easy to access. Since the thermostat is wireless, there is also great freedom to choose the location.

Some customers instead choose to place the thermostat on a shelf or other discreet place in the room. If you have several family members who like to raise and lower the temperature a little too often, it can be a smart solution. Then it is you who determines the temperature - and the heat must remain at the set value you set.

Wireless communication for a neater installation

The thermostat consists of two units.

The first is the thermostat itself, which measures the temperature in the room.

The other is the receiver, also called the relay. The relay is connected between the power source and the infrared panel and ensures that the heat is switched on and off automatically depending on the temperature you have chosen.

Flexible placement of the receiver

The included receiver is compact and developed to be easily mounted in a standard junction box, both surface-mounted and recessed.

Thanks to the wireless communication, the relay does not need to be mounted in the same room as the thermostat. If you have ordinary wooden or plaster walls, the signal can easily pass between the rooms.

In open areas, the distance between thermostat and relay can be up to around 10 meters and still work without problems.

For the best serviceability, we recommend that the relay is mounted so that it is easy to access if necessary. According to the manufacturer's recommendation, the relay should not be mounted directly on the back of the infrared panel.

A neat installation without visible cables

A big advantage of infrared panels in suspended ceilings is that the installation can often be done very discreetly.

To avoid visible cables, many people choose to take power from the same place as the ceiling light or other existing electrical connection in the ceiling. Then both cables and connections can be hidden above the suspended ceiling, which gives a very neat and professional installation.

Thanks to the wireless communication between thermostat and relay, you also don't need to run any control cables through walls or ceilings.

Save energy with the right thermostat

A well-functioning thermostat is one of the most important components in the entire heating system.

It is the thermostat that determines when the heat should be on and when it should be turned off. The better temperature control you have, the less energy is used unnecessarily.

The digital technology in the Salus RT510 provides high precision and helps keep the temperature stable without large variations. It provides both greater comfort and better control over energy consumption.

Digital precision provides greater comfort

All thermostats that Infracenter sells are digital.

Digital temperature control provides significantly higher precision than older mechanical solutions. You get exactly the temperature you want and when the temperature is reached, the infrared panels are automatically switched off until heat is needed again.

The result is a more pleasant indoor environment and better energy efficiency.

Works for more than just infrared panels

Although the Salus RT510 is the thermostat we recommend for Infracenter's infrared panels, it also works for many other types of electric heat sources.

Many customers buy the thermostat separately to control, for example, electric radiators, towel dryers, heating fans, garage heaters, frost protection heating and other electrical products where you want to maintain an even temperature.

That makes the Salus RT510 a long-term investment that can be used in many different types of installations.

WHY INFRACENTER?

90% of the heat from our infrared heating panels goes out into the room. Our infrared products are of very high quality.
Simpler/cheaper panels send 50% of the heat into the wall, which is not good or efficient at all.

Infrared heating is very efficient and bounces (reflected) in the room and heats surfaces and objects

Infrared heating - what, how, why?

- Soft, comfortable and energy-efficient heat

- Spot heating where needed and which can be integrated into acoustic ceilings

- Lower your heating costs

- Prevents moisture and mold damage
