Thomas and Linda reduced their heating costs with infrastructure products
Thomas and Linda live in a villa in Lidköping with their family. The family has been using products from Infracenter for a couple of years and what started as a need in the conservatory has expanded to cover most of the villa. Thomas likes to think outside the box and has found some unusual solutions for some of the infrared heating products.
Thomas originally discovered Infracenter when he was looking for a heat source for his large outdoor space. He didn't want a classic infrared heater with a bright red light, but found the stylish
– I really like that they are very stylish and black even when they are in operation. The best thing about them, however, is the soft warmth they give off, which means we can use the outdoor space for most of the year now.
The outdoor room has high ceilings and it is something that Thomas takes advantage of to practice his great interest in golf – even in winter.
– I've actually made my own little golf range out there, so I stand there and practice my swing all year round. My wife is just as nervous every time, says Thomas, laughing. When it's really cold, I've added an Outside heater, which I use to get a little more warmth.
We also use it when we sit outside on summer evenings and as an extra source of heat in the outdoor room in winter when the temperature drops below five degrees Celsius, he continues.

The stove has received competition
The villa is heated using geothermal energy and when it gets cold in winter, the immersion heater is turned up to full speed, which is noticeable on the electricity bill. There is also a stove in the hall that they use to heat and to keep warm. After Thomas tested infrared heating for the outdoor space, he became curious about how Infracenter's products could also help with a more comfortable indoor climate.
The choice fell on a Mobile heater which was intended for the home office to quickly get comfortable warmth when sitting for longer periods of time:
– It didn't stay in the office long before the wife "stole" it. One evening I found her sitting on the couch with a glass of wine in her hand and the Mobile Heater in front of her, since then it has been used mostly in the living room.

Bathroom interior in the bedroom
Thomas became more familiar with the products and realized that there were more rooms that would benefit from infrared heating. Of the family's two bathrooms, the smaller one has no underfloor heating. There A 450W infrared panel was installed in the ceiling in addition to the radiator that was already there.
– When it gets cold outside, it gets cold in the bathroom and the radiator doesn't hang properly. with. The panel provides a pleasant warmth and it is noticeable that it warms up the surfaces. The floor is "It's not cold anymore and the toilet seat is almost lukewarm," says Thomas.
The family has also purchased a towel rail from Infracenter. Most people would probably place a towel rail in the bathroom, but Thomas likes to think outside the box:
– Yes, it's a bit fun because we actually have it next to the bed! We like to air it out the bedroom and do so pretty much all year round. Even though we like it cool, it gets there is a cold breeze in the room when we have the window open. We have noticed that the towel rail handles it very well. In the evening we usually hang tomorrow's clothes on it which means we have warm, comfortable clothes to put on when we get out of bed. Then it's "It's really stylish too, so it's almost like an extra interior detail," says Thomas.

More pleasant heat and reduced costs
In their daughter's room, they have installed Infracenter's Infrared Heat Mirror opposite the bed, which both provides a pleasant warmth and of course serves as a valued mirror in the teenager's room. Even though Thomas had read up on and been informed that the modern infrared products on the market are cost-effective heat sources, he had not expected that he would actually save money on them:
– When it gets cold outside, we no longer need to turn up the heat pump, which means our electricity costs have gone down since we added infrared heating. The panels provide a softer heat, which has given us better comfort without having to pay a lot of money for it.
The thermostat for the panel in the bathroom also means that we can set the times it should be on, there is no point in having it on during the day when we are not at home for example. If we had this heating with radiators, I would have had to really pump the heat pump in the winter and it would have been very expensive, he notes. To reduce electricity costs even further, Thomas plans to install a 600W infrared panel in the large bathroom.
This is to avoid being dependent on underfloor heating during the winter months. By controlling the infrared panel with a thermostat, he sees that he can save a lot compared to underfloor heating, which uses quite a lot of electricity.
