Product description

Dark Heater 1800W Night Black – Infrared heater without light

Dark Heater 1800W Night Black is one of Infracenter's most appreciated infrared heaters for glazed balconies and conservatories.

Unlike traditional patio heaters that glow red or orange when in use, the Dark Heater remains completely black even during operation. You get pleasant warmth without disturbing glare and without the heater taking over the environment around it.

Many customers therefore describe the Dark Heater as a terrace heater without light or an infrared heater without a glow. That's actually a pretty good description.

Dark Heater is today mainly used in glazed balconies, conservatories and restaurants, but is also very popular in garages, hotels, receptions, treatment rooms, yoga studios, workshops and stables.

Dark Heater is developed for protected environments

Dark Heater 1800W is developed for glazed balconies, conservatories, restaurants with roofs, garages, stables and other protected environments where people stay for longer periods.

Thanks to the advanced IR-B technology, you get a soft and pleasant warmth without disturbing light.

Just like any other medium-wave infrared heater, the Dark Heater is more sensitive to wind than short-wave infrared heaters. If the surface is completely open to the elements, we recommend an Outside Heater from Infracenter instead.

For glazed balconies, conservatories and other protected environments, however, the Dark Heater is one of the most appreciated options in our range.

This way you get the right effect on your glazed balcony or conservatory

As a general guideline, we recommend approximately 200W per m² at normal ceiling height.

Surface Recommended power

  • 5 m² - About 1000W
  • 10 m² - About 2000W
  • 15 m² - About 3000W
  • 20 m² - About 4000W

It is important to understand that all conservatories and glazed balconies are different. Glass surfaces, insulation, ceiling height, orientation and outside temperature affect the result.

The better the environment is insulated and the more materials that can absorb the heat, the better the comfort.

What is a Dark Heater?

Dark Heater is a modern infrared heater that uses medium-wave infrared technology (IR-B).

It can most simply be described as a terrace heater without light. At the same time, it is significantly more advanced than many traditional terrace heaters.

Dark Heater is developed to provide a pleasant heating experience in environments where people stay for a long time. Therefore, it fits perfectly in everything from conservatories and glazed balconies to restaurants, hotels, receptions, treatment rooms, yoga studios, garages and stables.

Developed in Italy

Dark Heater is developed in Italy with a focus on design, comfort and performance.

Behind the product's design language are engineers from the Enzo Ferrari department at the University of Modena, where precision, technology and function are at the center.

The result is an infrared heater that combines modern design with high comfort and advanced technology.

Nano-ceramic heating elements

Dark Heater is equipped with nano-ceramic heating elements that contribute to even heat distribution, high comfort and efficient infrared heating throughout the product's lifetime.

Together with four separate heating elements, an even and pleasant heat spread is created over the entire heating surface.

Advanced IR-B technology

Dark Heater uses advanced IR-B technology that provides comfortable and efficient heat, especially in environments where regular heating is often not enough. The technology is perfect for conservatories, restaurants and glazed balconies where you want to create an even and comfortable heat.

IR-C – Infrared panels

Best suited for homes, offices and permanent heating where you want a discreet, energy-efficient and even heating solution.

IR-B – Dark Heater

Best suited for conservatories, restaurants and glazed balconies where you want powerful, pleasant and efficient comfort heating.

IR-A – Outside Heater

Best suited for open patios and windy environments where the heat needs to be more direct and intense.

Dark Heater uses mid-wave infrared technology (IR-B) which provides a very good balance between comfort and heating effect.

The result is pleasant warmth without bright light, while the heater provides a quick feeling of warmth where people are staying.

That way you get the best possible effect

Dark Heater heats people, furniture, walls, floors and other surfaces directly. Unlike traditional fan heaters, it does not heat the air in the same way.

In order to get the best possible results, it is therefore important that the heat hits materials that can absorb and store the energy.

Just like all other infrared heat, a large part of the infrared waves pass through glass. Therefore, the heater should be aimed at people, furniture or other surfaces that can absorb the heat.

A cold stone floor or an uninsulated concrete slab will always cool down the environment. An insulating mat on the floor can therefore make a big difference to the comfort of a glazed balcony or in a conservatory.

The more materials that can absorb the heat, the better the result.

Dark Heater is developed for protected environments such as glazed balconies, conservatories, restaurants with roofs, garages and stables. In these environments, the comfortable IR-B heat really comes into its own.

Common areas of use

Dark Heater fits in several different environments where you want to create pleasant, efficient and discreet heat without disturbing light. That makes it particularly appreciated in both private, commercial and professional spaces.

Glazed balcony

Pleasant warmth without disturbing light - perfect when you want to be able to use the balcony more often during the year.

Outside room

Extends the season and makes the outdoor space more useful even when the temperature drops.

Restaurant

Provides warmth without dazzling light, which creates a more pleasant experience for guests.

Yoga studio

Soft and pleasant warmth that contributes to a calm and comfortable environment.

Treatment room

High comfort for both client and therapist, without the heat source visually taking over the room.

Reception

A discreet heat source that makes a welcoming first impression.

Hotel

Comfort without a visible heat source - perfect for environments where design and guest experience are important.

Garage

Creates a more pleasant working environment in spaces where it would otherwise easily get cold.

Workshop

Provides warmth where people work, which makes the working environment more comfortable on cold days.

Stable

IP65-rated and durable construction makes the Dark Heater suitable for more demanding environments.

That's why Dark Heater install is appreciated

Dark Heater is used today in stables, saddle rooms, bedding rooms, feed rooms and other environments where traditional heat sources often work poorly.

The high IP65 classification means that the heater can withstand both dusty and damp environments.

Many horse owners also use the Dark Heater as a modern horse solarium where the horse has the opportunity to dry off after showering or training.

Unlike older red heat lamps, the Dark Heater provides a significantly more pleasant heat without a strong red glow.

A drier stable also provides better conditions for both animals and buildings. It becomes more difficult for moisture to remain in walls, floors and furnishings, which reduces the risk of musty odors and moisture problems over time.

Flexible mounting

Dark Heater can be mounted horizontally, vertically or upside down without affecting the function.

This makes it easy to find a solution regardless of whether the heater is to be installed in a conservatory, in a restaurant, in a garage or in a stable.

That is why many choose Infracenter

Infracenter has worked with infrared heating since 2014 and is today one of the Nordic region's leading specialists in the field.

Every year we help thousands of customers to create more pleasant environments in homes, conservatories, restaurants, hotels, garages and stables.

When you choose the Dark Heater, you don't just get a heater. You also get access to experience, knowledge and products that have been developed to work in real life.

Installation & Location

Placement and assembly

Dark Heater can be mounted both on the wall and in the suspended ceiling. For best comfort, it is recommended that the heater be placed in a wind-protected environment and directed towards the surface where people are staying. Long-wave infrared heating works best when the heat hits the floor, furniture and people directly.

The infrared waves do not heat the air but continue until they hit an object. Therefore, we recommend that the heater is angled downwards so that the heat reaches the floor surface and the living area. It usually provides a more pleasant and efficient heat dissipation. Also keep in mind that infrared waves pass through glass, which means that a placement aimed at large windows rarely gives the best results.

For wall or ceiling mounting, a height of around 1.8–2.5 meters is usually ideal. Leave about 10 cm of free space around the heater according to the installation instructions. There must be at least 60 cm of free space in front of the heater.

Dark Heater can be mounted horizontally, vertically or upside down without affecting the function.

All Dark Heaters are supplied with mounting brackets and are easy to install. Dark Heater 1800W is supplied with a plug and is connected directly to a standard wall outlet. Dark Heater 3200W is intended for fixed installation.

WHY INFRACENTER?

90% of the heat from our infrared heating panels goes out into the room. Our infrared products are of very high quality.
Simpler/cheaper panels send 50% of the heat into the wall, which is not good or efficient at all.

Infrared heating is very efficient and bounces (reflected) in the room and heats surfaces and objects
